Sharon Nielsen Art Gallery: Sharon Nielsen rediscovered a childhood passion for drawing and painting when she picked up a paint brush in 1996 - she has never looked back. Sharon loves colour and uses an impressionistic style. She works in many mediums: watercolour, acrylic, oil and on silk. Traveling to the south of France, Spain, Italy and Mexico, has brought new perspectives to her work. Sharon says “Learning to really ‘see’ was the most important thing I have learned as an artist. To ‘see’ all the colours in ordinary things, the effect of light, seeing patterns and perspective. The ultimate goal is to have my work evoke an emotional response by capturing a special moment in life.”
